June 2024 Newsletter

Hello!

Wherever you are, we hope you’re having a lovely early summer, and that you had a memorable Memorial Day weekend with loved ones.

As you might imagine, the summer is starting to make its presence felt here in New Orleans, though so far, the weather has been near perfect. The festival season will soon start to slow down for those summer months, but it’s really a great time to think about a vacation (or even a staycation) in the Crescent City. New Orleans’ lovely, licensed, and legal bed and breakfast inns are really an ideal choice, especially at this time of year.

The city is a little less full of visitors, so it’s much easier to get reservations around town, and there are fewer lines at our wonderful attractions. It’s the perfect time of year to visit the National World War II Museum, for instance, or the Museum of Modern Art, The Sazerac House or Vue New Orleans (a newish observatory tower that is getting rave reviews).

If you choose to stay at a bed and breakfast inn, you’ll get shady courtyards to relax in, and some properties even have their own pools, which you’ll pretty much have to yourselves. All in all, they’re cool and tranquil spots to wind down after a day’s exploring.

Here are just a few June events that you might want to come into town for:

5th-9th: New Orleans Food and Wine Experience (NOWFE)
This year is the 32nd year of this huge festival that attracts chefs and wine makers from across the world. Expect cooking demonstrations, tasting events, and talks.

8th-9th: French Market Creole Tomato Festival
Do you like tomatoes and tomato-related foods? If you answered yes, then this is the festival for you. Tomatoes, Bloody Marys, and probably a stand that serves tomato ice cream or something equally unusual.

17th: Restaurant Week New Orleans
Expect affordable, curated, multi-course menus from some of the best restaurants in the city.

Bed and breakfast inns offer a range of properties across the city, with styles and facilities to suit every need and budget. Start your New Orleans adventure at www.bbnola.com

Come and see us this summer, we’ve got a cold drink and some personal hospitality waiting for you!
