April 2026 Newsletter

Hello!

We’re well into festival season here in the Crescent City, which means perfect weather, al fresco seafood boils and the city at its liveliest (outside of Mardi Gras!). The city’s biggest music festival, Jazz Fest, spans two long weekends in late April and this year had headliners such as  Jon Batiste, The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, and David Byrne. If you want to join a more intimate, locals-focused festival, then French Quarter Fest is the way to go, and in May, Bayou Boogaloo and Greek Fest take place in the idyllic environs of Bayou St John. It really is the perfect time to come and visit us, especially if you find yourself thinking about a spontaneous trip – there’s bound to be a festival or a touring Broadway show, but even just walking around the city at this time of year is heavenly. If you’re feeling more organized, you might want to start thinking about your Halloween or Fall trips – another great time to be here, and if you book now, you should have your pick of our lovely, legal and licensed bed and breakfast inns. Come and see us soon – we can’t wait to see you with a cold drink, warm welcomes and the inside scoop from your hosts on how best to make the most of your time here!
