April 2025 Newsletter

Hello!

Spring really is one of the very best times to be in New Orleans. The weather is warm and sunny but not too humid yet, there are festivals almost every weekend, and people are just generally out and about enjoying themselves! Two huge events dominate the calendar – for a local flavor, there’s French Quarter Fest on the weekend of April 10th, and then there’s the biggest of all- Jazz Fest, which takes place on the last weekend of April and the first weekend in May. Many of our local theatre companies have their seasons in full swing, too. What could be better than eating in a sunny courtyard, before walking around the French Quarter on a beautiful sunny day and taking in some world class music? We love it here at this time, and you will too. Our hosts are always on site, and they’re festival veterans with all the best insider tips! There’s still time to book – or if you can’t make it this year, how about getting in early and booking for next year? It’s a season not to be missed, and we hope you’ll come and share it with us. Below are a few highlights to tempt you!

Until next time,

REVIEW: THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ MUSEUM

BRASS HALLS: The New Orleans JAZZ Museum Jazz: a uniquely American art form that emerged organically from the streets of New Orleans. More specifically, it bubbled up at least partly within the bordellos of the Storyville district. A century later, it has conquered the globe and shaped our musical (and sometimes non-musical) culture. The Jazz Museum […]
