August 2026 Newsletter

Hello!

It’s the height of summer here, but our festivals just adapt to the slightly slower pace, and we don’t lose focus on all-out enjoyment! One of the best things about August is COOLinary – the city’s best restaurants all offer amazing, discounted menus so it’s the best time to try out any of those newly-recognized-by-Michelin places you’ve been meaning to tick off! Festivals take on a local slant, but visitors are more than welcome! White and Dirty Linen nights exhibit the full range of our artistic talents, and meanwhile, the football season is not so quietly kicking off again, so if you’re itching to see the Saints, then your time has come. Whatever your interests, whether culinary, artistic, or sporting, we’ve got plenty going on in the Crescent City this summer, so think about coming to see us. The bed and breakfast inns of New Orleans have properties for every taste and budget, and have some of the city’s best ambassadors as hosts. We can’t wait to welcome you, or welcome you back!

LILLY’S CAFE, NEW ORLEANS: RESTAURANT REVIEW

Lilly’s is genuinely cozy – all character and warmth, the kind of spot that patently doesn’t need to try too hard because it’s already earned a wall’s worth of awards. There’s that Gambit ‘Best Of’, Yelp recognition, the whole kit and kaboodle. You can immediately tell this isn’t some shallow, Insta-bait operation; it’s a kitchen […]
