Just blocks from the French Quarter, Auld Sweet Olive B&B is an 1850s Creole home located in the heart of the hip and historic Faubourg Marigny. Bursting with cafes, charming shops, and jazz clubs, the Marigny is also home to Frenchmen Street, known as the “Bourbon Street for locals.” We are right around the corner from both the famous St. Roch Market and the new Spotted Cat Restaurant. The Marigny is proud to be the home of many of the city’s musicians, artists, and chefs, and despite its many attractions it has remained a true New Orleans neighborhood.  After a day of exploring and a night of great food and music, kick back in the relaxed charm of our guest rooms and suites. Each features its own private bath, personal AC/heat, bottled water, ironing board & iron, organic toiletries, signature soap, and hair dryer. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Daily maid service. Free and easy public street parking.  Enjoy the spacious double parlor, the gardens, the private courtyard, and our free and delicious breakfast featuring healthy and organic selections, fresh-baked goodies, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice.  Our décor is a playful take on New Orleans-style Victoriana. We mix comfy modern pieces with burnished antiques.  We are upscale but not fussy, historic but not dusty. You won’t find intimidating furniture you are afraid to sit on. And we promise, no tea cozies or pictures of geese in bonnets.  We would be honored to be your home-away-from-home in New Orleans, your peaceful and romantic hideaway just steps from the fantastic dining, music, and fun of the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street.
