June 2026 Newsletter

Hello!

The weather is heating up here in the Crescent City, not that that’s a problem for some of our properties. How does a lazy, long weekend with your own private pool sound? Just search our website for properties, and filter by ‘swimming pool’ to see which idyllic spot you could be lounging by this summer! It’s such a great time to be here, especially if you’re a foodie. The next couple of months are stacked with food festivals, with the Creole Tomato Festival to NOWFE to Restaurant Week, Tales of the Cocktail AND the Pastry World Cup all upcoming. If that doesn’t whet your appetite, then we don’t know what! It’s also a good time to remember the advantages of a legal and licensed bed and breakfast inn. You can skip the third party rental horror stories like being locked out with no contacts, absent customer service, lists of chores and hidden extra fees – none of that applies with us, and your welcoming onsite host will be there to help you make the most of our beautiful city. We love to be ambassadors, so come and let us show off our wonderful home this summer. See you soon,

LILLY’S CAFE, NEW ORLEANS: RESTAURANT REVIEW

Lilly’s is genuinely cozy – all character and warmth, the kind of spot that patently doesn’t need to try too hard because it’s already earned a wall’s worth of awards. There’s that Gambit ‘Best Of’, Yelp recognition, the whole kit and kaboodle. You can immediately tell this isn’t some shallow, Insta-bait operation; it’s a kitchen […]

How New Orleans made lunches fun

A restaurant lunch isn’t a simple midday meal in New Orleans. Like everything else in this bedazzled city, lunch – especially on a Friday – is a party turned up to 11. From witch’s conclaves to Mardi Gras extravaganzas, dining out in New Orleans while the sun is still shining requires commitment, a strong liver […]
