Hello!

We hope you’ve been having a wonderful summer wherever you are, and if we saw you here in New Orleans then we hope you made some incredible memories. If not, don’t worry, there are plenty of excuses to come and see us as fall approaches and the city kicks back into full gear after the slower-paced hot months. The football season is up and running again, and whether or not our Saints are playing at home, there’s a party atmosphere across town on game day – book a ticket as part of a long weekend here! Halloween is firmly on the horizon, and we do that holiday better than just about anywhere in the world, so be sure to look at our October availability. Also, just to put this on your radar, Mardi Gras 2027 is super early! It’s the second earliest it can be, with the day itself on February 9th. That’s just over a month of Carnival season in 2027, so everything is packed into a shorter time frame. If you want to book a room at one of our wonderful bed and breakfast inns – the ideal spots to celebrate the season for so many reasons, not least our enthusiastic hosts! – then it pays to start looking now. With just four weeks or so, demand will be high, so don’t be disappointed. SEPTEMBER

Southern Decadence (Sep 3 – 7)

The Labor Day Weekend Festival not to be missed.  LGBTQ events and a raucously fun French Quarter parade.

New Orleans Yoga Fest (Sept 3–6)

A multi-day wellness gathering that brings together yoga classes, sound healing, and meditation with live music and community events. It features live music, yoga classes, and community workshops to inspire wellness and connection.

International Dance Festival (Sept 10–13)

The festival is a culmination of classes and performances that celebrate cross-cultural exchange, hosted at the Contemporary Arts Center. It draws contemporary dance artists from around the world alongside performers from the Gulf South region.

New Orleans Fashion Week (Sept 20–26)

Now in its 16th season, this event showcases fashion professionals in runway shows, presentations, and pop-up boutiques across the city.

New Orleans Cocktail Week (Sept 21–27)

A week-long celebration showcasing the city’s top bars, restaurants, and mixologists. It’s a festival that highlights award-winning bars, restaurants, and distilleries, bringing locals and visitors together over signature cocktails.

International Arts Festival (Sept 24–27)

A citywide showcase spotlighting visual and performing artists from New Orleans and abroad. It spans multiple venues and blends exhibitions with live performances and cultural exchange.

NOLAxNOLA (Sept 24)

A one-day celebration highlighting New Orleans creativity across food, art, and design. It’s designed to spotlight local talent.

OCTOBER

Halloween decorations will already be up by the 1st, so come any time to see some amazing houses!

National Fried Chicken Festival (Oct 2nd–4th)

A popular culinary event celebrating the country’s best fried chicken, local food vendors, and live music.

Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival (Oct 9th–11th)

Held at Lafayette Square, this free public event features top regional blues and R&B musicians alongside great barbecue.

Gentilly Fest (Oct 9th–11th)

Located at Pontchartrain Park, it celebrates the food, music, and culture of the Gentilly neighborhood.

New Orleans Film Festival (Oct 22nd–27th)

An internationally recognized event showcasing independent films, documentaries, and shorts from emerging and veteran filmmakers.

LASPCA Carnival (Oct 24th)

Party for a purpose:  eat, drink and enjoy the music of George Porter Jr, all in aid of the animals.

Krewe of Boo (Oct 24th)

New Orleans’ official Halloween parade featuring stunning float designs, marching bands, and throws.

Tremé Fall Festival (Oct 24th)

A neighborhood cultural gathering honoring the historic Tremé community with food, art, and traditional jazz.
