Built in 1896, our B&B has 11 foot ceilings and pine floors and is situated in the beautiful, peaceful Historic District of Algiers Point, just three blocks from the six minute ferry ride to the French Quarter. Decor is fun and eclectic and hosts are Blues, Jazz and history fans. Come and experience our Cockney and Cajun hospitality! The “Red” Allen room offers a four-poster King Rice bed, Asian decor, and a private bathroom a short way down the hall (toweling bath robes supplied).

Named after Henry “Red” Allen, one of Jazz’ most famous trumpet players of yesteryear. Born in Algiers, “Red” would have a very successful career in Swing and Jazz music.

The “Memphis Minnie” room has a Queen size bed, and a private bathroom adjacent. Named after Blues legend Lizzie Douglas, better known as “Memphis Minnie.” Born in Algiers, she would become one the great female Blues singer/guitarists of all time.
The “Frogman” Henry room has a King size bed and a private, en suite bathroom. Named after Algiers R&B legend – Clarence “Frogman” Henry. Had big hits worldwide with “Ain’t Got No Home” and “But I Do.”

All guest rooms have free Wi-Fi, free bottled water, alarm clock/radios, A/C & heat, ceiling fans, fire extinguishers, tissues, are fully insulated, and all private bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers, towels, liquid soap, shampoo, etc.
